It was a great day of giving for the Corvette Club of Battle Creek this week. On Wednesday we went to DaVita Dialysis in Battle Creek and donated a 32 inch TV, a new color printer and a check for $400.00 to aid them with training new patients and helping the staff with their every day tasks. One of our members was a patient here for many months and we truly appreciated the great care they gave to Arleta and everyone else that needs dialysis treatments, and they were truly appreciative. At our monthly meeting on Wednesday night we had representatives from the Talons Out Honor Flight organization. We were fortunate enough to have a good year in 2016 so we were able to donate $3,000.00 to this wonderful organization. This donation will pay for 6 veterans to get a day trip to Washington D.C., as well as a commemorative shirt and hat. The first Talons Out flight will be on April 22nd and we plan on having members attend the reception when the flight gets back into Kalamazoo. What a fantastic organization and we were so excited to be able to help 6 veterans go on such a memorable and well deserved trip.
